John Abold - Officiant

We are so excited to have John as our officiant!   John and Kandice became fast friends after John got Kandice her first job after transplanting from California to the Midwest.   Because they were coworkers John got to hear all the juicy details on the daily when Sam and Kandice fell in love.

John was also the first friend of Kandice’s to meet Sam.   If you know John, you already know that he's kind, caring, very responsible, and is always willing to step up to the plate.   We think he's going to do a wonderful job with the duty of marrying us!

Hannah - Maid of Honor

Hannah and Kandice first met in early 2016 through mutual friends at a music festival.   “There was a bunch of excitement and sweet sisterhood in the air, and I remember watching Kandice DJ at the beach and falling so in love with her passion and unassuming but confident demeanor.”

Later that year, Kandice needed a temporary place to stay, and they clicked almost instantaneously.   “We shared some deep conversations running errands in her car, and she made me the most exquisite espresso in the mornings.”   “Since Kandice came to stay with me, the rest was history.   She became deeply embedded in my heart and it’s been that way ever since.”

Ashley - Bridesmaid

Ashley and Kandice met in 2008…   “I’d say I was a fan girl of Fire Lieber and always loved her passion and skill for throwing down hot fire and being generally sexy at festivals and clubs; and then once we finally met in person Kandice was so humble and sweet and quickly became my friend.

We briefly lived together in a somewhat stressful work trade environment and became even closer.   Kandice continues to be a confidante and valuable advisor in my life, even through my life changing transition into parenthood.   I am lucky to call Fire Lieber a friend and sister!!!   Plus, I’m still a fan girl LOL!”

Alanna - Bridesmaid

Alanna and Kandice were in the same group of tight knit friends between the years 2009-2012.   Despite many of the groups unraveling, Alanna and Kandice remained long distance friends.  

In December 2016, Kandice became deathly ill, and Alanna graciously mothered her back to health.   If they get on the phone together it often turns into a several hours long hangout, girl time.

Cody (Jenks) - Best Man

Cody and Sam met through mutual friends in high school.   Their friendship has endured the highest highs and the lowest lows!   Now they spend most of their time discussing guns, stocks and laughing over their mutual dark sense of humor.

Taylor - Groomsmen

Taylor and Sam met through mutual friends.   She originally thought Sam hated her BAHAHA.   Sam is Taylor’s first child’s God father and they have remained tight even since.

Kirk - Groomsmen

Kirk and Sam met through mutual friends.   “I think we’ve stayed good friends because we are always there to help the other one out no matter how crazy it is, and generally we always create good stories when we look back.”   Plus, they share a lot of the same values and enjoy dreaming up their next fantasy entrepreneurship ideas.

Thomas - Groomsmen

Thomas and Sam met while working at Auto Zone.   “We had both recently went through a divorce and kind of at what felt like a dead end in life.   Sam motivated me to be better and I felt like I did the same for him.

Once we moved in together, I felt like I found purpose in life.   Sam has always been someone I look up to.   I knew we’d be friends for life when he called me his brother.”   These brothers were still roommates when Kandice and Sam first met.

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift of all.   If it is your wish to bless us with a gift, we would greatly appreciate a contribution to our wishing well.   We look forward to celebrating our wedding day with you!

What is the dress code?

Formal.   No tuxedos necessary for this level of fancy -- but you should still strive to look formal.   Men may don a dark suit, white shirt and tie for day or night weddings, or can put on a tux if they really dig the look.   For women, a long dress, pantsuit or other separates in dark colors look best at a night wedding, while a dark cocktail or afternoon dress is more appropriate for day (our wedding is both day and night so choose your personal preference on dress length).   You've got some leeway with dress color -- avoid the wedding party's colors (Gold, Reds, Indigo Blue, and White are all off limits).

Running Late?

We request that you be at the venue at least 10 mins prior to starting time.   Doors will close 5 mins till, and if you are late, the doors will be locked until after the ceremony is over.   Please wait, and cocktail hour will start promptly.
